A Test for True Believers

Our churches are filled with people who call themselves Christians. But do they measure up to what the Bible says a Christian should be and do? Do you?

The Most Important Thing

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 (NIV)

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame." Romans 10:9-11 (NIV)

Also note that Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 6:3,4 (NIV) ,"If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, he is conceited and understands nothing."
